My resume as a writer includes eight years as a weekly newspaper columnist, and I have worked as a freelance writer, editor, columnist, reporter, and technical writer. In years past I have worked as a computer technician.
I have published a few short stories and poems (see below) and spent a few years as a college composition professor while I worked toward my Masters degree in Rhetoric and Writing. I am currently a technical writer for a corporation that designs and builds military equipment for our government.
I work with the big PhD types in a "think tank" in San Diego as their Wordsmith. I joke about helping them make complete sentences, but it's much more than that. I also manage their data module database and perform Quality Control functions.
I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, but have lived in Southern California since 1977. I am a short brunette with silver streaks, and have an eye color that varies according to mood. I walk 2 miles a day and swim leisurely laps for 30 minutes three times a week.
